Koltek Energy Services is expanding its oilfield tool and equipment services to meet the needs of clients in the Bakken, DJ Basin, and Powder River Basin.

The Wyoming-based company announced plans to open a new facility designed to service the entire Rocky Mountain region. In addition to the expansion of its traditional services, Koltek is adding measurement-while-drilling equipment capability.

“We saw an increasing demand to add additional facilities and personnel to help with our growing operations and are excited to expand in the Rockies,” said Tim Koltek, CEO.

The company mainly services directional drilling equipment, well servicing tools and provides testing for oil and gas companies.

In Oklahoma, the company provides operators or service companies with access to testing grounds. South of Tulsa, Koltek operates a testing facility that includes land, mineral rights, drilling rigs, mud systems and personnel to run the equipment. The testing campus also includes a residence hall and a 3,000 square foot shop for other research and evaluative work.
