Enable Midstream Partners and Continental Resources Inc. have agreed on Project Wildcat, a new pipeline that will move natural gas from Oklahoma to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As the anchor shipper, Continental will have the ability to move up to 400 million cubic feet per day of gas from its fields in the SCOOP and STACK plays of Oklahoma.

According to Continental, “Project Wildcat will provide Continental direct access to premium markets, including the expanding Dallas Fort Worth area where supplies of natural gas from the Barnett shale continue to decline.”

With the previously announced CaSE Project, Enable midstream also has an option to help SCOOP, STACK or Cana producers move gas out of the region.

“Project Wildcat not only provides flow assurance for our growing production in SCOOP and STACK but access to premium markets to maximize the returns on every molecule we sell,” said Harold Hamm, chairman and CEO of Continental.

Rod Sailor, president and CEO of the Oklahoma City-based Enable, said the company has helped move gas from the basin even before the SCOOP and STACK were “household names,” adding that the partnership with Continental will help create a cost-effective market-access project.
